The Norristown Fire Department and The Red Cross conducted a Sound the Alarm event in Norristown on MLK Day. Together, 63 volunteers and Norristown Firefighters contributed more than 500 hours of service, and it was an amazing success! The efforts saw us get into 52 homes, install 139 smoke alarms, and provide fire safety for 174 residents, which is a remarkable accomplishment!
