Montgomery County has received official notification from FEMA that they declared a Major Disaster for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Montgomery County Department of Public Safety is still gathering information regarding the declaration. They will provide a full briefing on Tuesday, after meeting with FEMA and PEMA. In the meantime, there are two ways for Montgomery County residents to immediately begin applying for assistance by registering via:
• Applying online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.
• Constituents may call the application phone number at 1-800-621-3362 (TTY: 800-462-7585).
Additionally, the Department of Public Safety is working with FEMA to plan for a Disaster Recovery Center within the county.
