Outdoor Recreational Fire

All outdoor fires, and open flame cooking shall not present a hazard. Burning of trash/rubbish is prohibited. All outdoor fires must be constantly attended and an approved means of extinguishment must be available for immediate utilization. The fire department has the authority to order the extinguishment of any outdoor fire, or open flame cooking that creates or adds to a hazardous or objectionable situation.

The following restrictions apply:

• Recreational fires - must be 25ft. from structures and combustibles. Cannot be larger than 3ft in diameter and 2ft high.
• Portable outdoor fireplaces - must be 15ft from structures and combustibles with the exception of one-and two-family dwellings. Must be used in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions.
• Grills (Charcoal or gas) - Must be 10ft from structures and combustibles.
