It was a sad morning as our Norristown Firefighters were called out to a fire at the Fire Chief's Memorial in Elmwood Park. When crews arrived, fire was already showing from the roof. Crews spent about 2 hours controlling the fire.
As daylight broke, crews were on scene assessing the damage and removing the memorial plaques.
